Joseph Cooper
is a leadership and team effectiveness coach, educator, and consultant dedicated to advancing the coaching profession through both practice and teaching. With a deep background in coaching psychology, leadership assessment, and strategic growth, he brings a unique blend of expertise to his work with individuals, teams, and organizations.
A practicing professional coach since 2019, Joseph holds postgraduate qualifications in Professional Coaching and Coaching Psychology. He has trained extensively across five leading coaching schools, gaining expertise in a variety of methodologies that support both individual and team coaching. His credentials include certifications as a Leadership Circle Profile Practitioner and a Collective Leadership Assessment Practitioner.
Beyond his own coaching practice, Joseph spent 2.5 years in senior leadership roles at the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), one of the world’s pioneering coaching schools. During his tenure, he held key positions including Director of Sales & Business Development, Director of Customer Success, and Director of Licensed Partnerships, in addition to chairing CTI’s Go-To-Market team. Prior to his coaching career, Joseph built a successful leadership trajectory within FTSE 100 organizations, leading Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) functions and working in commercial strategy.
A passionate educator, Joseph has been a faculty member at BEabove Leadership since 2022, leading its Neuro-Transformational advanced coach training certification program. He has also co-led and supported coach training programs for CTI and the Centre for Right Relationship (CRR Global), both renowned for their experiential learning models. His teaching extends beyond coaching schools—he has facilitated corporate training programs both in-person and virtually, shaping leadership development initiatives for organizations.
Joseph’s academic interests continue to shape his approach to coaching and education. His MSc research explored the impact of coaching on individuals identifying as members of the deaf community, contributing to the growing body of knowledge on inclusive coaching practices. Looking ahead, he plans to pursue accreditation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and aims to become a Chartered Coaching Psychologist through the British Psychological Society (BPS). With a long-term vision of lecturing at the university level, he has his sights set on a future Ph.D.—once he finds the time!
