Clarify: Coach the Roots of Imposter Syndrome

A complete training grounded in Dr. Lisa Orbé-Austin's 3C's Methodology

You can already spot Imposter Syndrome in a client. This training teaches you what to do once you see it. This is a three-week, comprehensive training course for assessing Imposter Syndrome, tracing it to its roots, and helping clients rewrite the story that keeps it alive.

You Can Name the Pattern. But Can You Work With It?

You can name the pattern. But naming it isn't the same as understanding where it came from, what's triggering it right now, and what story the client is unconsciously telling themselves to keep it alive. And without that, it's hard to know where to start coaching, so you end up circling the same insight session after session instead of moving the work forward.

Clarify is for you if:

  • check-iconYou're a coach, therapist-adjacent practitioner, or HR/Talent leader who regularly works with high-achieving clients or employees showing signs of self-doubt.
  • check-iconYou want a structured way to assess and trace Imposter Syndrome, not just recognize it in the moment.
  • check-iconYou want a complete toolkit you can put to work with a real client this week, not a preview, not a theory you'll apply someday.

This is not the right fit if:

  • x-iconYou're new to coaching and still building core session skills. This training assumes you can already hold a coaching conversation.
  • x-iconYou want a single script or one quick "aha" exercise, this is two full modules plus live practice, built to be worked through, not skimmed.
  • x-iconYou are looking for therapy training. The methodology stays in the coaching scope by design.

checkIf the first list sounds like your practice, you are who this was built for.

The 3C’s Methodology

A repeatable, research-informed framework. Three phases, always in this order, because each phase depends on the one before it.

Clarify: The Foundation of Dr. Lisa’s 3 C’s Methodology

Clarify is the foundational phase of Dr. Lisa Orbé-Austin's full 3 C’s methodology: Clarify, Choose, Create.

After you complete Clarify, you will be eligible to join the full 25-week certification to deepen your expertise, but Clarify stands on its own as a complete and immediately usable training to work more effectively with Imposter Syndrome.
 what you'll unlock for $497

Everything Included in Clarify

Unlock 2 live training modules, 6 practical client-facing tools, and 1 hands-on, facilitated role-play practicum.

Module 1: Imposter Origin Story, Family Dynamics & Culture

Before you can help a client interrupt Imposter Syndrome, you need an accurate read on how it took shape for this person. Module 1 gives you a structured way to assess severity and trace the pattern to its origin, without ever stepping outside the scope of coaching.

You'll learn to:

  • Assess Imposter Syndrome and recognize the individual, relational, and sociocultural factors shaping each client's experience.
  • Use a validated assessment tool to establish a baseline and track a client's progress over time.
  • Map intergenerational and family-of-origin patterns that are still driving a client's behavior today while staying firmly inside your coaching scope.

Tools you'll walk away with:

  • Family Genogram: a visual mapping tool for uncovering intergenerational patterns influencing a client's current behavior.
  • Qualitative Imposter Syndrome Scale: a validated assessment (based on the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale) to identify and quantify Imposter Syndrome at the start of an engagement, and measure change by the end of it.

Module 2: Transforming Triggers and Stories

Once you understand where the pattern came from, Module 2 shows you how to help a client see it operating in real time and start rewriting the story that keeps it running.

You'll learn to:

  • Uncover triggers, origin stories, and recurring patterns without moving outside the scope of coaching.
  • Help clients expand limiting "thin narratives" into more accurate, empowering understandings of themselves.
  • Guide a client through their life story with enough depth that old, limiting beliefs stop holding up against the evidence.

Tools you'll walk away with:

  • Triggers Tool: provides a step-by-step process for documenting a client's Imposter Syndrome triggers and their origins.
  • Autobiography Tool: empowers clients to reframe their life narrative, connecting past chapters to a more empowered future one.
  • Thickening the Story Tool: guides clients to add nuance and contradictory evidence to a limiting self-narrative until it can no longer hold.
  • Statement of Position Map: helps clients articulate where they stand on their own values and beliefs, and where their current actions are and aren't aligned with them.

The Practicum: Try It Out Loud First

Reading about a tool and using it in a real conversation are two different skills. In your live practicum, you'll do triad role-play focused on handling client resistance and reframing Imposter Syndrome narratives, guided by a trained facilitator, with feedback from peers doing the same work.
You don't just leave with notes. You leave having already run the conversation once.

Questions You're Probably Asking

1. Is this the same content as the full certification, just cut down?

No. It's the actual first two modules and first practicum from the full 25-week Imposter Syndrome Coaching Certification, taught exactly as they're taught inside the full program. You're getting the complete Clarify phase, not a summary of it.

2. Do I need any prerequisites?

You should already be comfortable running a coaching session. This program assumes core coaching skill and builds Imposter Syndrome specific depth on top of it.

3. Do I need the full certification for this to be worth it?

No. Clarify is built to stand on its own. By the end, you'll have a full set of tools for assessing Imposter Syndrome, tracing its origin, and helping a client rewrite the story sustaining it, plus a live session where you've already practiced using them. Nothing in Clarify depends on buying anything else.

4. What if I want to go on to the full certification later?

You can. Clarify is the first phase of the full 3C's Methodology, so completing it puts you underway on the full program if you choose to continue.
